Land Restoration and Reclamation

For over 30 years Stoke Plant Hire, through its quarrying activities, has restored thousands of acres of land throughout the UK. We have gained a great reputation from clients restoration teams and land owners for our passion for perfection in restoring quarry land and landfill sites.

One of our proudest land restoration projects was constructing the 150 acre National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas, Staffordshire with nearly 300 memorials for the armed forces, civilian organisations and voluntary bodies who have played a part in serving our nation. Reservoir Construction

Stoke Plant constructs many reservoirs, lake constructions and large pond constructions throughout the UK. We can transform sites into a productive water resource or a beautiful nature habitat.

We also provide dam construction for water retention and drainage channels, as well as piped culverts. Our experience in this area allows us to propose tailored solutions for every application, and we take huge pride in arriving not just at a practical solution – but an attractive and responsible one, too.

Earthmoving

With nearly thirty years of trading experience in earthmoving, Stoke Plant offers clients outstanding expertise and service. We work closely with our clients and external consultants to ensure the project runs to schedule, focusing on using our three decades’ of knowledge to help save our clients money.

Stoke Plant has a large, modern fleet of machines and can complete projects from five thousand cubic metres to five million cubic metres. With teams of our own experienced managers and operatives, we can finish projects safely, on time, on budget – and to perfection!

Landfill Construction

We have built over thirty landfill cells around the UK for many of the world’s leading waste management companies. As part of our many quarry activities, we routinely excavate aggregates, and have in this way developed extensive experience in landfill construction.

We are classed as the main contractor in many of our landfill projects, and create high quality landfill cells which conform to the rigorous specifications and standards required by the environment agency and our clients’ consultants. We have gained a great reputation for working productively and constructively with clients, stakeholders and regulators alike.

Using our experience and expertise, we ensure landfill cells adhere to precise tolerance levels. We employ clay liners or membranes to prevent gas and leachate leakage, and have also capped many landfill cells – sealing in the waste and restoring the area back to fields.
